Class 110(3) [Also in Group XXXIII] A plurality of gas turbine engines 7 are mounted side by side, having fish tail nozzles 8 so that their exhaust forms a continuous jet sheet. Their air intakes 7a are all connected to a common manifold 5 (Fig. 3), and are each provided with a non-return valve comprising two flaps 16a, 16b, biased so as to tend to spread out, this tendency being opposed by the air stream when the engine is operating normally. In the case of failure or shutting down, the flaps 16a, and 16b close the intake.
