Safety brake device for moving machine elements

The device has a detection device for detecting an operator position to permit operation of a machine only if an operator (13) remains within a defined working area. The detection device comprises a transponder that bears the operator directly or indirectly by a garment. The detection device detects position of extremities of the operator within a predefined safety area (14) that makes required work activities to be performed. A moving machine element (4) is immediately stopped if the extremities of the operator move beyond the safety area. A brake caliper (5) acts on the machine element.
