<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a trouble such that since segments of a split retainer are separated from a bearing ring of a bearing, a segment constituting the retainer can be separated from the bearing ring, when the bearing is incorporated to a device, to hinder the incorporating operation. <P>SOLUTION: The segment 21 for split retainer includes a body portion 23 having a pocket 22 for retaining a tapered roller, and inner ring engagement claws 24, 25 provided on the body portion 23.
