<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compatibility in both the improvement in detection accuracy and detection responsiveness, when detecting the rotational speed of a rotor. <P>SOLUTION: Two kinds of average rotational speeds that differ in the number of histories of a signal interval tN[i] (e.g., 1/4 revolution average rotational speed N4 and single-revolution average rotational speed N16) are calculated, and by putting the two kinds of average rotational speeds on the same time base as an actual rotational speed N, an estimated rotational speed N0 is calculated. Since the average rotational speed excelling in detection accuracy, in comparison with the estimated rotational speed N0 calculated from the signal interval tN[i] of the latest one tooth, is used, for instance, the detection accuracy of the estimated rotational speed N0 calculated finally is superior, as well. Since the average rotational speed at the point of time delayed in the time direction is computed on the same time base as that of the actual rotational speed N, additionally, ultimately the estimated rotational speed N0 calculated is made free of response delays, as compared with the actual rotational speed N at the current time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
