<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail gateway that prevents data from being lost when a server fails, and has high delivery capability in a mail system. <P>SOLUTION: The mail gateway and a plurality of data storage servers are installed and the communication method and the data storage method used between the mail gateway and the data storage servers improve delivery capability of the mail gateway. More specifically, the mail gateway and the data storage server maintain a mail which should be maintained by the mail gateway in a volatile memory on the mail gateway and the data storage server, respectively. The mail which is likely to be lost by a failure and the data which is important data, such as accounting information, are written to a non-volatile memory on the data storage server. In addition, the data storage server processes multiple accesses to the plurality of non-volatile memory at a time to speedily write data to the non-volatile memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
