SELF-ADHESIVE, SELF-ADHESIVE FOR OPTICAL MEMBER, OPTICAL MEMBER HAVING SELF-ADHESIVE LAYER ATTACHED THERETO, IMAGE DISPLAY, AND ACTIVE-ENERGY-RAY- AND/OR HEAT-CURABLE SELF-ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-adhesive excellent in handleability (tack) and optical properties (haze) of a self-adhesive layer and also excellent in durability and optical properties (resistance to light leakage) even when adhering an optical member, such as a polarizing plate, to a glass substrate etc., especially a self-adhesive for optical members.

SOLUTION: The self-adhesive is obtained by curing a self-adhesive composition [I] with active energy rays and/or heat, wherein the self-adhesive composition [I] contains an acrylic resin (A), an aromatic compound (B) containing one ethylenically unsaturated group, and an ethylenically unsaturated compound (C) containing at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups. The content of the aromatic compound (B) is 3-300 pts.wt. relative to 100 pts.wt. of the acrylic resin (A), and the content ratio (mol%) of the aromatic compound (B) to the total content of the aromatic compound (B) and the ethylenically unsaturated compound (C) is more than 50 mol%.
