PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily move an elevator to the position of a landing by a simple alternative circuit if either of a plurality of contactors gets in an abnormal condition during the traveling. SOLUTION: This elevator control device includes the plurality of contactors (11, 12) and a control unit (1) which outputs a drive instruction, inputs an operation state signal, and controls the traveling of the elevator after confirming the consistency of the output state and the input state. The elevator control device further includes a preliminary contactor (13) installed as an alternative one used when either of the plurality of contactors gets in an abnormal condition. The contacts of each of the plurality of contactors (11, 12) are connected parallel to the contacts of the preliminary contactor (13), respectively. When determining that the abnormality of inconsistency occurs, the control unit (1) urgently stops the elevator, and when the stopped position is not within a door openable range, outputs a drive instruction to the preliminary contactor to move a car to the door openable range at the nearest story.
