<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light reflector in which metal vapor deposition is carried out to a molding formed of a thermoplastic resin composition, and a light-reflecting metal layer is made to form directly, thereby: excelling in moldability (surface smoothness properties, mold releasability); being good in surface smoothness, adhesion with metal, and heat resistance; and hardly generating fault (orange peel citron skin-like defect, whitening, cloudiness) to the light-reflecting metal layer also under high temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a molding for a light reflector is characterized in that a thermoplastic resin composition containing a polyester resin is used to mold the molding by: a mold whose arithmetic average surface roughness Ra is at most 0.075μm; a mold which has polished the surface with a polishing yarn count of at least No.5000; or a mold which has been chromium plated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
