<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the whole of a fuel cell stack by making narrow the gap between separators as much as possible and eliminate variations of gaps between the separators. <P>SOLUTION: The seal structure for a fuel cell is formed such that a polymer electrolyte membrane arranged between a pair of electrodes, two gas diffusion layers arranged on both sides of the polymer electrolyte membrane, and a rubber-like elastic material seal member integrated with the gas diffusion layer through a bonding layer in which part of a rubber member of itself is impregnated into the periphery of the gas diffusion layer, are sandwiched between a pair of separators in which a reaction gas introducing passage leading from an inlet to an outlet of a manifold is formed. In the seal structure for the fuel cell, two kinds of seal members are arranged through the bonding layer formed independently in each of two gas diffusion layers, and each of the bonding layers is arranged not to overlap each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
