PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus for imaging the difference among constituent elements of a subject. SOLUTION: An X-ray source 31 includes: a direct-current power supply 32 for applying first voltage and second voltage to an electron source 41; a linear acceleration tube 42 for accelerating the electrons released from the electron source 41 with the first voltage; a high-frequency power supply 33 for feeding first or second high-frequency electric power to the linear acceleration tube 42 when the first or second voltage is applied to the electron source 41; a target 43 for generating X rays from the collision of electrons discharged from the linear acceleration tube 42; a controller 26 for controlling the direct-current power supply 32 and the high-frequency power supply 33 so that the first voltage and second voltage are alternately and repeatedly applied to the electron source 41 during scanning; and a data acquisition system (DAS) 24 for determining whether or not data acquired by the scanning according to control signals from the controller 26 are based on X rays generated from the target 43 with the first or second voltage, and collecting data according to the determination.
