PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linking member and a lead for pets, capable of adjusting the elongation and contraction. SOLUTION: This linking member for the lead for pets is characterized by including an elastic member having flexibility, a hook attached to the elastic member, and a first core material attachable and detachable with the hook. Also the lead for pets including the elastic member having flexibility, the lead attachable with the elastic member, at least 2 hooks attached with the elastic member or the lead, and the first core material attachable and detachable with the hooks is characterized in that the flexibility of the lead for the pet can be adjustable by the attachment and detachment.
