PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary wire mesh frame capable of being utilized as security measures by being temporarily installed, for example, on the periphery of a floor opening (such as an opening for an elevator) in a field of construction work. SOLUTION: This temporary wire mesh frame includes an outer frame (1), an inner frame (2) for being fitted into the outer frame (1) in such a manner as to freely protrude/recede within a certain range in the length direction of the outer frame with respect to an upper end of the outer frame (1), and a fixing tool (3) for fixing the inner frame (2) pulled out from the upper end of the outer frame. The fixing tool (3) comprises locking holes (37) which are provided in positions at proper intervals in the moving direction of the inner frame (2), and a locking implement (12) which is provided on the front side of the outer frame (1). The locking implement (12) comprises a unidirectional locking pin which is automatically fitted into the locking hole (37) by a biasing force so as to inhibit the inner frame (2) from only making an entry into/receding from the outer frame (1), and an operation portion for performing the operation of pulling out the locking pin from the locking hole (37).
