PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carry out the detaching/attaching operation of a platen roller, to hold the platen roller with high reliability when attached, and to downsize the whole size by reducing the diameter of the platen roller. SOLUTION: The printer 1 has: a swing plate 22 having a bearing 22a for supporting the platen roller 21; a lock shaft 23 inserted in a slide opening 26 and combined with the swing plate; a fixing frame 40 to which a recording head 42 is attached. The lock shaft is slidable in a direction in a virtual plane orthogonal to a platen axis. A first recessed part 45 in which the bearing is detachably fitted and a second recessed part 46 in which the lock shaft is detachably fitted after the bearing is fitted in are formed at the fixing frame. When the lock shaft is fitted therein, the bearing cannot be detached from the first recessed part. After the lock shaft is removed, the bearing can be detached from the first recessed part.
