PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a semiconductor device having different number of data bits that are simultaneously input and output, wherein products with different number of data bits cannot be shared by one chip in because the solder ball and the pad position of the semiconductor chip on a printed circuit board are divided into two separate regions and wiring between the ball and the pad has become impossible. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device having a semiconductor chip with a plurality of pad electrodes arranged at least in two trains in the center of the chip, wherein the number of data bits are simultaneously input and output can be changed among 8, 16 and 32 bits, is characterized in that the predetermined pad electrode out of the plurality of pad electrodes includes a pad electrode dedicated to 16 bits used only in the case where the data input/output is 16 bits, and a pad electrode dedicated to 32 bits used only in the case where the data input/output is 32 bits.
