PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule type electrophoretic display panel capable of solving the problems of reductions in contrast and display brightness caused by a distance between a color filter and an electrophoretic display layer and caused by the amounts of water contained in a microcapsule layer and a conductive adhesive layer, in multicolor displaying in the microcapsule type electrophoretic display panel; and to provide a method for manufacturing the panel. SOLUTION: In the microcapsule type electrophoretic display panel, the temperature of the microcapsule electrophoretic display panel is set equal to 45°C or more and 55°C or less, and a relative humidity is set equal to 40% or more and 60% or less. Thus, the amount of water contained in the microcapsule electrophoretic display panel is controlled within a range of 0.7g/m<SP>2</SP>or more and 2.7 g/m<SB>2</SB>or less.
