PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-board acoustic apparatus that can detect whether an external storage medium is attached or detached while an ACC (accessory) power source is turned off, by a simple process without compromising safety. SOLUTION: The on-board acoustic apparatus 20 includes: a USB connector 21 for detachably connecting a USB memory 12 in which music files are stored; and a controller 26 for controlling the reproduction of the music files that are stored in the USB memory 12. In the on-board acoustic apparatus, when the ACC power source in a vehicle is turned off in a state that the USB memory 12 is connected to the USB connector 21, the controller 26 intermittently determines whether the USB memory 12 is disconnected from the USB connector 21 during the time period when the ACC power source is turned off.
