PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo compressor with simplified processes of processing in manufacture of a turbo compressor, and reducing effort and a cost of processing, and to provide a turbo refrigerator having the turbo compressor. SOLUTION: The turbo compressor 4 includes: a drive part 12 generating a rotary power; an impeller 22a rotary driven by receiving the rotative power of the drive part 12; a plurality of gears 31, 32 transmitting the rotative power of the drive part 12 to the impeller 22a; and a drive part casing 13 in which the drive part 12 is installed. The turbo compressor 4 adopts structure includes: an impeller casing 22e disposed to surround the impeller 22a; and a gear casing 33 shaped separately from the impeller casing 22e and the drive part casing 13, connecting them with each other, and forming a housing space 33a housing the plurality of gears 31, 32.
