An organic EL element having an organic light-emitting layer and sealed with a curable composition for a sealing agent, wherein the organic EL element is characterized in that the curable composition for a sealing agent comprises [A] a compound having an epoxy group, [B] a photo-cationic polymerization initiator, and [C] inorganic particles each having a particle diameter of 30 µm or more and the most frequent value of the particle diameter distribution of 30 to 1,000 µm inclusive; an organic EL display device equipped with the organic EL element; and an organic EL lighting device equipped with the organic EL element.
