<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device capable of simplifying a structure, sufficiently securing rigidity at an initial stage of rotation and not generating an excessive pre-load and an excessive temperature rise even at high speed rotation. <P>SOLUTION: In the main spindle device, a temperature adjustment means 13 for adjusting a temperature of fluid fed to a cooling fluid feed passage 12 is provided, temperature detection means 15, 16, 17 for detecting temperatures of inner and outer rings 5, 6 of a rolling bearing 2 and a housing 7, respectively, are provided, and a rotation speed detection means 18 for detecting a rotation speed of the main spindle 1 is provided. The temperature of the fluid fed to the cooling fluid feed passage 12 is adjusted by the temperature adjustment means 13 so that a temperature difference of the detected temperature of the inner ring 5 and the temperature of the outer ring 6 reaches a determined temperature difference according to the rotation speed of the main spindle 1, and a pre-load adjustment means 14 for adjusting pressure to the desired bearing pre-load is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
