<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loads of reproduction of image data of a normal type distributed on the Internet or the like without lowering the spatial resolution of moving images, regarding a moving image reproducing apparatus for obtaining moving image data and outputting the moving images on the basis of the obtained moving image data or the like. <P>SOLUTION: First moving image data having luminance data representing the luminance of an image and color data representing the color of the image are obtained. By reducing the data amount of the color data configuring the first moving image data, second moving image data having the same luminance data as the luminance data configuring the first moving image data and color data whose data amount is reduced are generated.
