PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect the important flaw present in the bottle mouth part of a glass bottle with stable precision. SOLUTION: In the method for inspecting the glass bottle B, the bottle mouth part B1 of the glass bottle B is irradiated with infrared rays from a light source 16 and the infrared rays reflected from the bottle mouth part B1 are captured by an imaging means (17) to take the image of the bottle mouth part B1. Then, the presence of the flaw of the bottle mouth part B1 is determined on the basis of the captured image. The peak wavelength of the infrared rays emitted from the light source 16 is preferably within a range of 800-900 nm, more preferably within a range of 820-850 nm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
