PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a gateway for pet animal which a pet animal is neither caught in nor the head and/or nose thereof hits against. SOLUTION: The lid portion of the gateway is made of a cloth, a part as the entrance of a wooden plate (1) is bored, and the gateway (2) made of cloth is attached using a Hook-and-Loop fastener. Thus, as the lid portion of the gateway is made of cloth, risks of a relevant pet animal's being caught in the gateway and/or its head's and/or nose's hitting against the gateway are eliminated.
