PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type lawn mower which has a simple structure but has a highly strong housing. SOLUTION: The walking type lawn mower is characterized in that a housing A has a ceiling plate 20A for forming an upper wall and side plates 20B formed by downward bending both the side portions of the ceiling plate 20A, and has a pair of lateral frames 30 connected to the right and left side plates 20B on the lower side of an opening H formed in the ceiling plate 20A. One end portion of each lateral frame 30 is projected from the side of the housing A, and a handle support portion B for supporting the control handle is formed on the projected portions.
