PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser driving device capable of accurately performing pulse emission of a semiconductor laser without shortening the service life. SOLUTION: A writing control circuit generates a select signal for expanding a pulse width of a light-emitting signal based on a difference between the pulse width of the light-emitting signal and a lighting pulse width of a laser chip 100. A light source driving circuit 221 includes an expand circuit 221d for expanding the pulse width based on the select signal, and a driver outputting a driving signal in correspondence with the light-emitting signal having the widened pulse width. In this case, thinning of the pulse in an optical waveform of light emitted from the laser chip 100 can be reduced without shortening the service life. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
