PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a server device, electronic equipment, a retrieval system, a retrieval method and a program to easily retrieve information which is relevant to content under playback and is anticipated to be desired by many users. SOLUTION: A server 1 receives from each TV 2, a retrieval keyword input during broadcast of a program of a specific channel and channel information, and when a plurality of retrieval keywords are received within predetermined time from different TVs 2, the server 1 transmits as retrieval keyword candidates, the retrieval keywords to other TVs 2 under selection of the specific channel. The other TVs 2 display the received retrieval keyword candidates, and when retrieval is instructed from users for the retrieval keyword candidates, execute retrieval.
