<p>Disclosed is a light-source device wherein the in-plane distribution of the intensity of light emitted from a light-guide plate is uniform. Said light-source device prevents decreases in the amount of light emitted from the vicinity of a locking part of the light-guide plate. The disclosed light-source device is provided with a light-guide plate (13 (13a, 13b)) and a light source (15a). A locking part (131a, 131b) for positioning the light-guide plate or fixing the light-guide plate in place is provided on or near the outer edge of the light-guide plate (13 (13a, 13b)). The light source (15a) is capable of shining light on the outer edge of the light-guide plate (13 (13a, 13b)). The intensity of light shone from the light source (15a) towards the vicinity of the locking part (131a, 131b) at the outer edge of the light-guide plate (13 (13a, 13b)) is greater than the intensity of light shone towards other parts.</p> |
