<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device that prevents a laser beam whose position is adjusted from being displaced even when temperature is changed, without using a dedicated mechanism, and to provide an optical disk playback device provided with the optical pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: A player device 1 includes an optical pickup device 21. The optical pickup device 21 includes a pickup case and optical component groups 28, 29 and 30. The pickup case includes contact parts to be in contact with each of an LD (Laser Diode) 59, mirrors 57 and 62, and a prism 66 of the optical component groups 28, 29 and 30.
