<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method, and program for software distribution, which can shorten the time until putting downloaded software in an enabled state after the start of download operation, and which can reduce the efforts of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The system for software distribution, which includes a software distribution server, an apparatus, an information processing apparatus, and an activation server, includes: a download control part 133 which downloads a function package from the software distribution server; an installation control part 134 which installs the downloaded function package; and an activation control part 135 which performs, concurrently with the installation of downloaded software, processing of the function package, installed according to the license authentication by the activation server, so as to be in an enabled state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
