<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily eliminate an unneeded object photographed in an image. <P>SOLUTION: When a person 312 is the unneeded object, a user can select the person 312 using a touch-panel function, and thereby the image region of the person 312 is set as an unneeded region. An image correction unit sets a region 320 to be corrected which contains the unneeded region, and meanwhile uses the portion of the image of the region 320 to be corrected, from which the unneeded region has been eliminated as a template, and searches for a similar region of the image from within an input image 310. When a similar region 331 is found, the image correction unit sets an image region containing the similar region 331 as a correction patch region 340, and corrects the image within the region 320 to be corrected by mixing the image data of the region 320 to be corrected and the image data of the correction patch region 340. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
