<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differentiation method which differentiates appropriate materials for active ingredients in cosmetic products and the like, including quasi drugs, to be prescribed for external application; materials to be identified with this method; and compositions comprised of the materials. <P>SOLUTION: The solution offers a material with a new function mechanism which is equipped with improved skin barrier function through the function of production promotion of antimicrobial peptide by establishing a differentiation method for appropriate materials to be prescribed for external application in which production promotion function of antimicrobial peptide, in particular, production promotion function of the gene which engenders beta-defensin 1 (hBD1mRNA), is adopted as an indicator; and composition comprised of the material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
