MONITORING CONTROL METHOD, MONITORING CONTROL APPARATUS, MONITORING CONTROL SYSTEM OF COMMUNICATION PATH, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring control method for performing monitoring control of a communication path for reducing power consumption of a router.

SOLUTION: A distribution router is functionally distinguished as a primary router, a secondary router, and a backup router, while variations of traffic amount in a network are distinguished to two kinds of a normal state indicating the state where the traffic amount is much, and a power saving state indicating the state where the traffic amount is little. The method includes steps of: monitoring the network whether it is made to be transferred to any one state of the normal state and the power saving state from load information of each router in the network; activating the primary router and the backup router after switching the secondary router to an deactivated state at the time of transition to the power saving state from the normal state, and activating the primary router and the secondary router after switching the backup router to be deactivated state at the time of transition to the normal state from the power saving state.
