<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately determine the phase of an excitation current passing through the rotor winding of a synchronous rotary machine having a rotor using a permanent magnet. <P>SOLUTION: A rotational position detection sensor 200 is constructed of an optical rotary encoder. Specifically, a slit disk 201 as part of a generation unit 201 is attached to the rotating shaft 103 of a synchronous motor 100. LED 201b and a mask 201c as the other parts of the generation unit 201 and photo transistors 231 to 233 as a detection unit 202 are attached to a case 303 that is rotated coaxially with the rotating shaft 103. When the phase of an excitation current passing through the stator winding is changed or when the initial phase of this excitation current is determined, the case 303 is rotated by a control unit 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
