PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a data process which is repeatedly executed in a PLC having two CPUs. SOLUTION: When detecting a prescribed trigger event, a main side unit 21 including a CPU #B12 notifies a sub side unit 22 of contents of a plurality of data processes which are to be executed by the sub side unit 22 with a trigger event as an opportunity, a start state being a state before execution of each data process, an end state being a state after the execution, and the trigger event and instructs the sub side unit 22 to execute the plurality of data processes triggered by the trigger event. The sub side unit 22 executes the instructed respective data processes and registers the notified contents of each data process, the start state and the end state of each data process, and the trigger event in association with one another, and when an event detected after the registration coincides with the trigger event, executes the respective data processes associated with the trigger event while performing state transition in accordance with the registered contents without an instruction from the main side unit 21.
