PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a palisade vessel detecting device, efficiently determining a remarked property of a Barrett's esophagus or the like from a large amount of image data such as animation data. SOLUTION: This palisade vessel detecting device includes: a line structure extract means for extracting a line structure from a medical image imaging the mucosal surface in an esophagus; a terminal end calculating means for calculating each terminal end as the stomach side from the shape characteristic amount having the line structure; and a palisade vessel determination means for determining whether or not the line structure extracted from the shape characteristic amount is a palisade vessel.
