A pneumatic tire has formed therein lug grooves which extend from the outermost circumferential groove to the equatorial surface of the tire, are tilted relative to the equatorial surface, and are arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction of the tire. Arc-shaped communication grooves for connecting lug grooves which are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the tire are formed in divided land sections formed by dividing the land section by means of the lug grooves in the circumferential direction.
