<p>Disclosed is a tapered roller assembly and tapered roller bearing which can be inserted easily into a retainer, allowing the machine it is installed in to have fewer parts. Inside the retainer, a roller dividing section (24) extends in the radial direction on the inner side from the extremity in the radial direction of each pillar section (23) on the inner side, and also extends in the axial direction so as to substantially cover the entire area of the tapered rollers (3) in the axial direction; and a canopy section (25) projects in a circumferential direction from one extremity in the radial direction of the roller dividing section (24) on the inner side towards both sides of the of the retainer (5), and also extends in the axial direction so as to substantially cover the entire area of the tapered rollers (3) in the axial direction. The plurality of pillar sections (23) prevent the tapered rollers (3) from moving towards the outside of the pockets (28) in the radial direction. For each position of the tapered rollers (3) in the axial direction, the distance between circumferentially adjacent canopy sections (25) is less than the diameter of said tapered rollers (3) at positions in the axial direction.</p> |
