PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing an outdoor structure such as a gatepost, a gate sleeve and a fence, which has functionality for enjoying gardening familiar to a lot of people, for example, for enabling a potted flower and a three-dimensional shaped article to be decoratively placed thereon. SOLUTION: Component members (11, 12 and 13) are created from a foamed material made of a synthetic resin, and joined together to form a base member (1); an insertion opening (10) is provided in a penetrating manner in the base member (1); a shelf member (3) is fixed to the insertion opening (10) in such a manner that both sides overhang from a surface of the base member (1); a supporting body (4) for supporting the shelf member (3) is fixed; an anchor member (2) is fixed to a lower portion of the base member (1); the surface of the base member (1) and that of the shelf member (3) are coated with waterproof paint; a reinforcing net is stretched over a laminated surface (17) of each of the component members (11, 12 and 13); a substrate material is applied to the surface of the waterproof paint in such a manner that the reinforcing net is embedded; and a structure body (100) is formed by applying color coating to a surface of the applied substrate material, and installed in such a manner that the anchor member (2) is embedded in a foundation (101).
