Disclosed is a fuel cell system (10) equipped with an air supply channel (210) that supplies air to the fuel cell, a reed valve (214) that is disposed in the air supply channel, an air discharge channel (220) through which air that is discharged from the fuel cell flows, a pressure regulating valve (222) that is disposed in the air discharge channel and regulates the back pressure of the air supplied to the fuel cell, a bypass channel (230) that is connected to the air discharge channel and the air supply channel upstream of the reed valve, and a bypass valve (232) that is disposed in the bypass channel and opens and closes said bypass channel. The fuel cell system (100) increases the pressure of the air upstream of the pressure regulating valve by narrowing the pressure regulating valve while supplying air to the fuel cell with the bypass valve in a closed state, and reverses the flow of air in the proximity of the reed valve and closes the reed valve by subsequently opening the bypass valve. |
