A low-noise embodiment of a motor vehicle lock, which optimally transmits the forces that occur when driving a motor vehicle, is provided with a lock bow (8) having a specially designed bow leg (4). The outer wall (17) of the bow leg (4) has a surface structure (16), particularly in the contact area (15), consisting of grooves (19, 20) running obliquely to the longitudinal axis (22) or of corresponding webs (21). In addition to a special design of the grooves (19, 20) and the webs (21) on the outer wall (17) of the bow leg (4), it is thus possible to provide the rotary catch (11) in the receiving section (12) with such a surface structure (16) or similar in order to be able to transmit optimal pressure loads or other loads and in order to significantly minimize noise that may occur in this area when the vehicle is in motion. |
