The motor vehicle (1) has an image capturing device (2), an image processing device for capturing the traffic signs (5) and a driver assistance system (8). The driver assistance system of the motor vehicle is impinged with a counter-directed steering torque by the detection of no passing zone and by approaching a road marking not to be crossed due to the no passing zone. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a driver assistance system in a motor vehicle.
