<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid encapsulant useful to form a photovoltaic module and a method for producing the photovoltaic module. <P>SOLUTION: The method is for producing the photovoltaic module by forming solar cells on a glass plate and contacting at least one layer of the liquid encapsulant with the solar cells. The liquid encapsulant contains two components. The first component is an acrylic polyol, which has an average number (2-25) of hydroxy-functional monomer units per polymer chain and Mn of 1,000-10,000. The second component is a polyisocyanate with an average functionality of at least two. The molar ratio of non-terminal hydroxy groups in the polyol to isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate is from 0.5:1 to 1:0.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
