PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inserting a small-diameter low-friction indoor optical fiber in an existing conduit line with higher workability.
SOLUTION: When inserting the small-diameter low-friction indoor optical fiber formed by covering both a coated optical fiber and a tension member with an outer cover, into the conduit line, a predetermined length of the tension member is exposed by removing the outer cover from one end side of the small-diameter low-friction indoor optical fiber. A covering material is adhered to the exposed portion of the tension member, and the covering material is machined to have the same outer shape as or smaller than the external shape of the small-diameter low-friction indoor optical fiber. The machined portion of the small-diameter low-friction indoor optical fiber is pushed into the conduit line for insertion.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
|
