<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed a proper quantity of a lubricating oil to a rotation inhibiting member. <P>SOLUTION: A scroll compressor includes an intermediary groove 535 annularly formed along the annular portion of the plane of a thrust section 533 for slidably supporting the orbital motion of a rotating scroll 52, and an outer groove 536 whose one end 536a abuts against the intermediary groove 535 in the outside of the annular portion of the intermediary groove 535 in the plane of the thrust section 533 and whose other end 536b extends beyond an upper portion of a key groove 534a. Therefore, the lubricating oil L is retained temporarily in the thrust section 533 by means of the intermediary groove 535 and thereafter the lubricating oil L is fed to the key groove 534a by means of the outer groove 536.
