<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus imaging the difference among constituent elements of a subject, and for example, sufficiently separating the image of a calcified tissue region from the image of blood vessels with a contrast medium. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray generator 21 of the X-ray CT apparatus includes: an X-ray tube 31 for generating X rays; a high-voltage power supply 32a capable of outputting two voltages for applying first tube voltage and second tube voltage to the X-ray tube 31; high-voltage switches (HVSW) 33a and 33b for switching the tube voltage to be applied to the X-ray tube 31 to the first tube voltage or to the second tube voltage; a controller 26 for controlling the timing of switching by the HVSWs 33a and 33b during scanning; and a data acquisition system (DAS) 24 for determining whether the data acquired by the scanning at the switching timing are those based on X rays applied from the X-ray tube 31 with the first tube voltage or those based on X rays applied from the X-ray tube 31 with the second tube voltage, and collecting data according to the determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
