<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing hydrogen embrittlement of a titanium-made hydrogen storage material container. <P>SOLUTION: The titanium-made hydrogen storage material container for storing a hydrogen storage material (hydrogen storage alloy powder 5) includes: a titanium-made container body 1, and a separator (a sidewall plate 2, a bottom plate 3) which is interposed between the titanium-made container body 1 and the hydrogen storage material on the inner peripheral side of the container body 1 without being surface-joined to the container body 1 to prevent the contact of the hydrogen storage material with the container body 1. Accordingly, since hydrogen atoms generated by the catalytic effect of the hydrogen storage alloy powder 5 during storage and release of hydrogen can be prevented from reaching the surface of the container body 1 and further from entering the inside of the container body 1, the hydrogen embrittlement of the container body can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
