PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and efficiently operate a heat pump regardless of a cooling/heating operation mode. SOLUTION: There is provided a vending machine in which a cooling circulation circuit is configured in such a manner that a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion means and a plurality of first indoor heat exchangers for cooling the inside of a room are connected by piping, and a cooling/heating circulation circuit is configured in such a manner that the compressor, a second indoor heat exchanger for heating the inside of the room, the expansion means, and the first indoor heat exchanger for cooling the inside of the room are connected by piping. In the vending machine, a first by-pass pipe line is formed between piping connecting the expansion means with the first indoor heat exchanger and the entrance section of the outdoor heat exchanger, and a second by-pass pipe line is formed between the exit section of the outdoor heat exchanger and the entrance section of the compressor, so that a heat pump can be operated even in a heating independent operation mode.
