PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a reactor core in a fast-breeder reactor easy in producing a fuel assembly, and suppressing expansion of fuel melting. SOLUTION: The reactor core 1 includes a reactor core fuel region 2. A high flow rate region 25 arranged with a plurality of fuel assemblies 11 in line through the center of the reactor core fuel region 2 is formed in the reactor core fuel region 2. The formation of the high flow rate region 25 divides the reactor core fuel region 2 into low flow rate regions 26A and 26B. A plurality of fuel assemblies 4 are loaded in the low flow rate regions 26A and 26B. A plurality of introduction ports for coolants are formed at the respective entrance nozzles of the fuel assemblies 4 and 11. The total flow path area of all the introduction ports formed on the fuel assemblies 11 are greater than that of all the introduction ports formed on the fuel assemblies 4. The flow rate of coolant supplied to the fuel assemblies 11 is greater than that of coolant supplied to the fuel assemblies 4. Therefore, fuel melting generated in the low flow rate region 26A is blocked at the high flow rate region 25, prevented from expansion to the low flow rate region 26B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
