The frame (1) has a base body arranged transverse to a motor vehicle axle. The base body comprises upper and lower left side steering wheel attachment devices (3a) and upper and lower right side steering wheel attachment devices (3b). A fastening device (2) is provided at the base body for fastening the frame at a motor vehicle body (10). A stiffener device (6) e.g. strut, connects the frame with the motor vehicle body and/or interconnects the left side steering wheel attachment devices and the right side steering wheel attachment devices to each other.
