<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable switch device. <P>SOLUTION: This switch device 1 includes: a holder 2; an operation knob 5 held by the holder 2 so as to be moved forward and backward; switch portions (detector) 15 detecting operation of the operation knob 5; a coil antenna 10 for transmitting a starting electric wave to bring an external portable device into operation; and an antenna holder 6 holding the coil antenna 10. The antenna holder 6 and the coil antenna 10 held by the antenna holder are arranged on the inner side of the operation knob 5. For example, the coil antenna 10 is provided on the inner side of the holding cylinder 2A of the holder 2 which holds the operation knob 5 on a peripheral side so that the operation knob is moved forward and backward.
