摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degradation in the display quality. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for driving a display device which includes a pixel whose display state is controlled by writing of data of the image signal from the driver circuit part and has a moving image display mode and a still image display mode. The still image display mode includes: a first period of writing the data of the image signal from the driver circuit part into the pixel; after the first period, a second period of stopping supply of a signal or voltage for operating the driver circuit part to the driver circuit part; and after the second period, a third period of restarting the supply of a signal or voltage for operating the driver circuit part to the driver circuit part and writing the data of the image signal into the pixel from the driver circuit part, so that the pixel keeps displaying a still image. The length of a period from the stop of the supply of the signal for operating the driver circuit part to the driver circuit part till the restart in the second period and the third period is set in accordance with the temperature of the display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
